About the Role

The University of Wisconsin-Madison is hiring a Student Tutor and Real Estate Ambassador for the Graaskamp Center for Real Estate. In this dual-role position, you will support undergraduate students academically while also contributing to the center's operational and promotional activities.

What You'll Do

  • Tutor undergraduate students in concepts and skills taught in core real estate courses: RE 410 (RE Finance), RE 411 (Excel), and RE 412 (Argus).
  • Assist with Center operations, including data collection and analysis using Excel and Access, coordinating the Mentor Program, handling event registrations, and performing other administrative tasks.
  • Advise and assist RE undergraduates with writing excellent resumes and cover letters.
  • Write blogs on real estate field trips, club meetings, and case competitions; potentially assist with social media updates on LinkedIn.
  • Update the event/news webpage using WordPress and review web content for consistency.
  • Assist Graduate Track Directors with tasks related to the Real Estate MS and MBA programs.

What We're Looking For

  • Completion of RE 410 (RE Finance), RE 411 (Excel), and RE 412 (Argus) with a grade of A or B.
  • Strong communication and listening skills with the ability to explain course concepts clearly.
  • Reliable, detail-oriented, organized, and able to prioritize projects and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to enable students to define their own goals and develop strategies to achieve them.
  • Willingness to complete training on resume and cover letter writing to advise undergraduates.
  • Experience seeking and completing at least one internship.
