The Kentucky Community & Technical College System is seeking Temporary Part-Time Upward Bound Math Science Tutors/Counselors. In this role, you will support the summer program by supervising participants, assisting instructional and administrative staff, and helping to plan and implement recreational activities.
What You'll Do
- Provide tutoring, facilitate group discussions, deliver presentations, and offer mentorship
- Promote educational aspiration and academic performance among high school students
- Handle routine discipline problems as they arise
- Help plan and actively participate in all recreational and cultural activities
- Assist academic staff with classroom and out-of-classroom support
- Assist administrative staff with program needs
- Provide supervision while on campus, during recreational activities, and during a possible 4-day out-of-state trip at the conclusion of the program
What We're Looking For
- Must have earned 40 college-level credits
- Must possess a strong academic background
- Must have a desire to prepare high school students for college-level work
- Must show sensitivity to and concern for all students
- Must be available to work the full five weeks of the program
Nice to Have
- An associate degree is preferred
Benefits & Compensation
- Compensation: $10.00 per hour

This is an onsite position located at Southeast Cumberland Community College.
