The United Football League (UFL) is looking for a Student Photographer to join Associated Students, Inc. (ASI). In this role, you will capture and publish photographs for a wide range of ASI publications, projects, and events, contributing to annual reports, campaigns, and departmental initiatives with compelling visual content.
What You'll Do
- Capture high-quality photographs for ASI publications, including events, design projects, and campaigns, ensuring visual consistency and brand adherence.
- Initiate new photoshoots to document campus life, planning shoots and directing models.
- Set up, test, and transport photography equipment, including cameras, lighting, and backdrops, to various campus and off-campus locations.
- Assist in prop and set production to create visually engaging photo environments.
- Attend events to provide comprehensive coverage, communicating effectively with groups and individuals for staged shots.
- Represent ASI professionally at both on-campus and off-campus events, with some local travel required.
- Process and edit images using Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop to enhance quality.
- Maintain organized files of photographs and visual assets for easy retrieval.
- Contribute photography during the preproduction and production phases of communication projects, collaborating with team members.
- Ensure photography integrates seamlessly with other visual elements to enhance communication efforts.
- Work independently on basic shoots or assist in more complex collaborative shoots, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
What We're Looking For
- A minimum of 1-2 years of photography experience.
- Working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and MAC systems.
- Concurrent enrollment in six or more units at CSULB.
- Valid California Driver’s License.
- Ability to work within a team environment while also being self-directed with minimal supervision.
- Ability to read and understand procedure manuals, instructions, and diagrams.
- Ability to travel to off-campus events.
- Flexible schedule, able to cover events during evenings and occasional weekends.
