Purdue University’s Office of Summer and Winter Sessions is seeking a Student Assistant for the summer to support its programs and communications. You will contribute to key office functions while gaining practical experience in event coordination and digital content creation.
What You'll Do
- Assist in coordinating and implementing office-sponsored programs, including staffing events.
- Draft communication materials, including social media posts, web content, newsletter articles, and student messages.
- Create social media content, publications, and other promotional materials.
- Assist in managing web content and social media sites.
- Benchmark other institutions and find online resources.
- Serve as a resource person to Purdue students inquiring about summer and winter sessions.
What We're Looking For
- Maintain a cumulative 2.5 or higher GPA and good academic and student conduct standing.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Flexible and dependable with strong attention to detail.
- Problem-solving, logic, and reasoning skills.
- Customer service oriented.
Nice to Have
- Previous work experience with programs, projects, social media, or promotion.
Benefits & Compensation
- Eligible students may apply for a summer tuition scholarship of up to $2,100.
- Compensation starts at $11.00/hour.
Work Mode
This is an onsite role located at Young Hall.
