Responsibilities
- Prepare and execute tasks including conductor payout, splicing, clipping, tensioning, sag adjustment, clamping, spacing, and jumper installation in accordance with safety and quality guidelines.
- Operate and perform routine maintenance on stringing machinery such as tensioners, pullers, and winches.
- Install insulator strings, conductors, OPGW, and earth wires correctly based on project specifications.
- Perform work at elevated heights on lattice towers and monopole structures.
- Follow safety protocols, work procedures, and risk assessments to maintain a secure worksite.
- Use and understand safety gear including full-body harnesses, dual lanyards, fall arrest systems, lifelines, grounding wires, and grounding rods.
- Collaborate with site supervisors and engineering staff to meet project schedules and operational goals.
- Identify and resolve technical challenges arising during stringing activities.
