Varsity Brands is looking for a Strategic Sourcing Manager to lead our global procurement operations. In this role, you will develop and execute cost-effective sourcing strategies that align with our overall business goals, ensuring efficiency and quality across our supply chain.

What You'll Do

Develop and execute a global sourcing strategy to meet company objectives, balancing cost, quality, and delivery timelines.
Identify, evaluate, and onboard global suppliers, building and maintaining strong, long-term relationships.
Negotiate best pricing and drive cost savings through effective apparel negotiation practices and continuous supplier evaluation.
Monitor and analyze sourcing performance to identify opportunities for cost reductions and process improvements.
Conduct market research to stay updated on global sourcing trends, pricing, and supplier innovations.
Collaborate with product development, procurement, quality assurance, finance, and logistics teams to align sourcing with business needs.
Identify and mitigate sourcing risks, such as geopolitical factors and supply chain disruptions, developing contingency plans.
Ensure sourcing practices align with corporate sustainability goals, ethical standards, and global regulatory compliance.
Develop and present reports on sourcing activities, supplier performance, and cost savings to senior management.

What We're Looking For

Five to Ten years’ experience in sourcing, procurement, or supply chain management, with a proven track record in a global environment.
Proven experience in supplier negotiation and relationship management.
Strong apparel/soft lines negotiation and communication skills.
Familiarity with fabric-raw material textiles.
In-depth knowledge of sourcing strategies and supplier relationship management.
Analytical skills with the ability to assess data and market trends.
Cross-cultural competency and experience managing international suppliers.
Ability to influence key stakeholders and manage processes effectively.
Ability to organize, plan, and manage projects.
Evaluates and makes sound decisions based on complex issues.
Strong financial acumen to understand and interpret budgets, cost structures, and key metrics.

Nice to Have

A 4-year College degree or equivalent business experience.

Team & Environment

You will work closely with product development, procurement, quality assurance, finance, and logistics teams.

Compensation: $82,000 - $100,000 DOE
