Responsibilities
- Support the institute's strategic sourcing initiatives.
- Create Requests for Expression of Interest, Requests for Information, and other sourcing templates.
- Identify reliable suppliers that can deliver value to the institute.
- Issue, receive, and evaluate responses to requests for proposals from suppliers.
- Benchmark supplier portfolios and assess supplier performance.
- Develop sourcing strategies, models, and initiatives aligned with procurement goals.
- Compile, analyze, and interpret supplier performance reports using key performance indicators.
- Participate in procurement planning activities.
- Negotiate contract terms and conditions with suppliers and service providers.
- Coordinate strategic sourcing efforts for other locations.
- Track outstanding orders to ensure timely delivery of requirements.
- Help manage the supply chain website.
- Maintain files and documentation for strategic partners.
- Draft Memoranda of Understanding for strategic partners.
- Assist in editing the supply chain newsletter.
- Review and help develop specifications, terms, and conditions for procurement.
- Support procurement planning with stakeholders to ensure timely availability of critical materials and services.
- Evaluate and select new suppliers, and update existing supplier records.
- Benchmark supplier portfolios using applicable models.
- Conduct spend analysis to assess value, volume, and criticality for supplier relationship management.
- Support the development and negotiation of contract terms for specific contracts.
- Ensure suppliers and service providers comply with regulatory requirements.
- Assist other locations in managing and monitoring critical, high-value contracts.
- Receive and interpret supply chain operational data to prepare and report key performance indicators.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
