OTIV is looking for a Strategic Project Manager to join our Strategy team. In this role, you will drive multi-year projects to co-develop, test, and implement remote-control and autonomous train solutions, bringing structure and focus to complex, multi-stakeholder environments.
What You'll Do
- Lead and manage train remote-control and automation projects from requirements definition through delivery, defining timelines, scope, budget, and implementation.
- Coordinate interdisciplinary teams to develop, test and implement cutting-edge technologies.
- Monitor project budgets and ensure expenditures align with financial plans.
- Monitor project progress and address potential risks to ensure timely completion.
- Identify potential commercial opportunities during project execution.
- Ensure short-term technical shortcuts are tracked, managed, and eventually refactored into robust features.
- Analyze project requirements to distinguish between core product needs and unique client requests.
- Identify high-value deliverables with broader market appeal and lead their transition into the product roadmap.
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of experience in project management, business, or corporate development in a deep-tech startup, tier-one strategy consultancy, or corporate strategy department.
- Degree in Business Administration, (industrial) engineering, or a similar field.
- Knowledge and experience in managing complex projects with large accounts.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
- Hands-on, self-driven mentality with ability to define and build greenfield projects.
- Enthusiasm for advanced technology.
- Experience working in a fast-paced start-up environment.
- Fluent in English.
Nice to Have
- Knowledge or experience in logistics, railway, self-driving technology, or software/platform-as-a-service businesses.
- Proficiency in French or Dutch.
