Role Overview

This position leads the development and execution of strategic account plans within BD Interventional’s key healthcare partnerships across the designated UK region. The manager will identify and advance high-impact sales opportunities by building trusted relationships with senior decision-makers in acute care environments. Success depends on navigating complex procurement frameworks, shaping value-based healthcare initiatives, and delivering integrated solutions that align with evolving clinical and financial priorities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a strategic roadmap for designated accounts to accelerate cross-divisional revenue growth.
  • Engage with senior stakeholders in healthcare systems to form long-term partnerships that support the adoption of innovative medical technologies.
  • Lead complex, multi-departmental projects that require coordination across clinical, operational, and procurement teams.
  • Advocate for BD Interventional’s market leadership by clearly communicating product value and clinical outcomes.
  • Collaborate with internal teams including Sales, Marketing, and Market Access to identify and expand business opportunities.
  • Support contract bidding processes and serve as a strategic advisor on procurement requirements.
  • Negotiate with NHS Supply Chain and regional procurement hubs to secure framework placements.
  • Champion Value Based Healthcare models and Signature Solutions adoption across accounts.
  • Establish BD’s differentiation through evidence-based engagement and relationship-building with key influencers.
  • Monitor shifts in the healthcare landscape and provide insights to senior leadership on emerging risks and opportunities.
  • Ensure all activities comply with ABHI and Eucomed industry standards.

Qualifications

Candidates must bring at least four years of proven success in medical device sales, with direct experience in the UK healthcare sector. A degree or equivalent is required, with an MSc or sales management background preferred. Demonstrated ability to navigate complex selling environments, negotiate with budget holders, and build lasting relationships across clinical and administrative functions is essential. Experience working within regulated procurement frameworks and collaborating across internal functions is highly valued.
