What You’ll Do
- Lead the end-to-end business for MariaDB, setting vision, strategy, and execution to scale both reach and revenue
- Strengthen Percona’s influence in the open-source ecosystem through technical insight, public engagement, and ecosystem partnerships
- Expand adoption across developers, enterprises, and community contributors by delivering exceptional software and support experiences
- Build and mentor a growing team, fostering accountability, agility, and deep technical expertise
- Drive customer success through 24/7 support, managed services, and tailored professional offerings
- Collaborate with Sales and Customer Success to identify, convert, and expand opportunities across new and existing accounts
- Champion open-source contributions that enhance product quality and user trust
- Align internal stakeholders across a distributed organization to maintain momentum and strategic clarity
Who You Are
You’re a technically grounded leader with a sharp business sense and firsthand experience in database systems and open-source communities. You understand developer workflows, infrastructure challenges at scale, and the nuances of open-source licensing and governance.
You operate with autonomy, take ownership of outcomes, and drive progress without waiting for direction. You’re comfortable managing P&L, setting long-term goals, and making trade-offs that balance innovation with sustainability.
Prior experience with MariaDB or compatible database technologies is a strong advantage.
