Lead and shape market access strategies across Intercontinental regions including Latin America, Asia-Pacific, Middle East and Africa, Turkey, and Russia. Reporting to the Senior Vice President, Head of Pricing, Access, Value and Evidence (PAVE), this role is central to ensuring successful product launches and sustainable market access for a portfolio of innovative therapies in rare diseases.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement pricing, reimbursement, and access strategies tailored to diverse regional healthcare systems
- Track and analyze government policies, regulatory shifts, and payer dynamics affecting product adoption and coverage
- Translate market intelligence into actionable insights using research, advisory boards, and field input
- Collaborate with Country Managers and regional leaders to assess the commercial impact of proposed legislation or policy changes
- Support the preparation and submission of reimbursement dossiers and engage in government pricing and contracting discussions
- Work closely with Global PAVE, Medical Affairs, Regulatory, and Commercial Operations to align strategy across functions
- Monitor public funding programs and reimbursement frameworks for orphan drugs and rare disease treatments
Qualifications and Experience
Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Business or Life Sciences and bring at least 15 years of pharmaceutical industry experience, with a minimum of 10 years focused on Market Access leadership. A proven ability to lead multicultural teams and drive global product launches—particularly in specialty or rare disease areas—is essential.
Success in this role requires strong strategic marketing capabilities, including expertise in lifecycle management, segmentation, and health economics. Demonstrated decision-making in complex, cross-functional environments, along with exceptional communication skills, is critical. Candidates must also show resilience, adaptability, and a commitment to ethical standards and compliance.
Preference will be given to those with experience in specialty care, rare diseases, and therapeutic-area-specific global launches.
