U-Haul is seeking a Strategic Account Manager for Industrial Sales to drive the sale of adhesive application equipment within Product Assembly customer accounts. In this field-based role, you will be responsible for the territory covering North Carolina and South Carolina, developing strategies to grow market share and enhance customer operations.
What You'll Do
- Meet or exceed established sales budgets for systems and parts in your assigned territory.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive territory sales plan to effectively cover all customers.
- Spend the majority of your time traveling to and visiting customer locations regularly.
- Accurately forecast sales on a monthly basis using the designated CRM system.
- Identify sales opportunities and collaborate with a Field Service Technician to sell systems and parts.
- Discover new applications, system upgrades, and customer needs, recommending optimal solutions.
- Maintain detailed knowledge of product offerings, pricing, policies, and application advantages.
- Work with technical and engineering teams to develop written customer quotes when required.
- Complete production line audits and gather application details to support quote development.
- Advise colleagues on market changes, competitor activities, and needs for product redesigns.
- Update key customer information in the CRM system daily, including contacts, visits, and opportunities.
- Maintain a professional appearance and company vehicle that reflects corporate standards.
What We're Looking For
- 3-5 years of Industrial sales experience in a field-based, home-office territory position.
- Proven experience with CRM systems.
- Computer literacy and proficiency with Microsoft Office Products (Power BI, Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Technical aptitude with a strong ability to learn new concepts.
- Excellent teamwork and collaboration skills.
- Strong territory and time management capabilities.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Must be a self-starter and team player.
- Ability to work independently with limited oversight.
- Flexibility for overnight travel and adapting working hours to meet customer requirements.
