Kerzner International | Luxury Hotels & Resorts Operator is looking for a Storekeeper to join the team at the One&Only Le Saint Géran luxury resort. In this role, you will be responsible for sourcing materials, raising purchase orders, receiving and issuing stock, controlling inventory levels, and following up on invoices to support the resort's world-class operations.
What You'll Do
- Be proactive and work without constant supervision.
- Manage the maintenance stores and tools provided by the hotel.
- Continuously provide feedback to the Assistant Maintenance Manager.
- Familiarize yourself with the buildings, areas, and parts for sourcing and ordering.
- Ensure all stock levels are maintained optimally.
- Keep storerooms clean and parts stored in an orderly manner.
- Maintain records and logs of all equipment in the store.
- Ensure all material issued is properly recorded.
- Check that materials ordered match purchase orders.
- Follow up with suppliers and purchasing for on-time delivery.
- Provide monthly reports for materials ordered.
- Ensure all Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is always available.
- Maintain familiarity with fire detection systems, fighting equipment, and escape routes.
- Attend fire alarm call-outs and assist as per procedures.
- Ensure proper communication with colleagues and superiors about store items.
- Attend weekend and public holiday duties as per roster.
- Attend all morning briefings and afternoon wrap-up sessions.
- Make yourself available to carry out jobs outside the daily scope or intervene personally on repairs as needed.
- Protect hotel assets while performing your duty.
- Report to your unit immediately when a cyclone warning class 2 is declared to organize prevention measures.
- Deal with emergency situations tactfully and solve them accordingly.
- Assist with work by outside contractors or in-house teams.
- Attend phone calls and liaise with guests as per company norms.
- Communicate effectively with other departments regarding maintenance work.
What We're Looking For
- At least a School Certificate.
- National Certificate Level 3 in any given field.
- At least 2 years of experience in the same role within an international ultra-luxury resort.
- Fluent in written and spoken English and French.
Team & Environment
You will report directly to the Assistant Maintenance Manager and be a key part of the operational team at One&Only Le Saint Géran.
Work Mode
This is an onsite position based in Mauritius.
