The General Hospital Corporation is hiring a Sterile Processing Technician I. In this vital role, you will be responsible for performing sterilization procedures on medical instruments and equipment. Your work will be conducted in strict accordance with established procedures, infection control standards, industry best practices, and all regulatory requirements.
What You'll Do
- Process specialty and general instruments.
- Reset instrument sets without error.
- Decontaminate instruments and equipment according to procedure.
- Maintain Central Sterile Department stock levels.
- Prepare and assemble surgical tray and equipment following established tray listings for issue, storage, or further processing.
- Communicate instrument repair needs to supervisor.
What We're Looking For
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
Nice to Have
- Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) credential from Healthcare Sterile Processing Association (HSPA)
- 1-2 years of related experience
