The General Hospital Corporation is seeking a Sterile Processing Tech II for its facility in Waltham, MA. In this role, you will perform advanced tasks in the sterile processing department, including receiving and sterilizing medical instruments, conducting quality checks, managing inventory, and maintaining equipment. What You'll Do
- Receive used medical instruments and equipment from operating rooms and other departments.
- Load prepared instruments and equipment into sterilizers, following prescribed loading patterns and protocols.
- Conduct regular quality checks of instruments, equipment, and packaging materials to ensure compliance with sterilization standards.
- Assist with managing inventory levels, including receiving, inspecting, and restocking sterile supplies.
- Clean, maintain, and troubleshoot sterilization equipment and instrumentation.
- Provide guidance and training to less experienced sterile processing technicians.
What We're Looking For
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Certified Registered Central Service Technician [CRCST] from the Healthcare Sterile Processing Association (HSPA)
Nice to Have
- 1-2 years of experience as a Central Sterile Technician or in a similar role within a healthcare setting.
Benefits & Compensation
- Compensation range: $22.88 - $32.72/Hourly
