About the Role

McLaren Bay Region is looking for a Sterile Process Technician to perform and participate in the decontamination, cleaning, assembling, packaging, scanning, sterilization, storage, and distribution of reusable surgical instrumentation and equipment.

What You'll Do

  • Decontaminate and sterilize instruments, medical supplies and equipment, and assemble, wrap and sterilize trays of instruments.
  • Monitor biological and chemical wash solution to ensure quality and consistency for decontamination of instruments and medical equipment.
  • Sort mismatched sets of instruments, trays, and medical equipment and make them available to sterile processing customers in a timely manner.
  • Restock, label, and maintain inventory, submit requisitions, collect and distribute instruments, trays, crash carts, and facility medical equipment.
  • Perform environmental maintenance duties and assist in maintaining inventory levels in sterile processing, the operating room, and in equipment storage areas.
  • Verify that equipment functions properly and requisition equipment maintenance, repair, or replacement.

This is an onsite position.
