As a Staff Technical Writer, you will play a key role in shaping the clarity and usability of technical documentation for cutting-edge robotics technology. Working within the Customer Learning & Development team, you'll produce and maintain documentation that helps both internal teams and external users understand and operate complex hardware and software systems effectively.
What You’ll Do
- Create and update technical content rapidly, ensuring accuracy and alignment with product developments
- Collaborate with engineering teams to gather insights and translate technical details into accessible formats
- Design and maintain documentation systems that support safety, compliance, and user success
- Apply AI tools thoughtfully to enhance content creation and streamline coding tasks when appropriate
- Support knowledge sharing by enabling subject matter experts to contribute to documentation workflows
- Keep product-related documentation current and synchronized with feature releases
- Apply principles of SEO, topic-based authoring, and user experience to improve discoverability and navigation
- Integrate modern documentation tools into existing pipelines and manage their implementation
- Balance multiple initiatives while maintaining clear communication across teams
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, Technical Writing, or a related discipline
- Proven experience using structured markup languages such as Markdown, HTML, or XML
- Background in setting up and managing documentation publishing workflows
- Experience developing user manuals for integrated hardware and software products
- Skill in explaining technical concepts clearly to diverse audiences, including non-technical users
- Interest in building consistent content models that improve recognition and usability
- Strong organizational, project management, and interpersonal communication abilities
Preferred Experience
- Familiarity with Docusaurus or similar Markdown-to-HTML tools
- Knowledge of DITA XML, HTML, and CSS for content development
- Experience using Git or version control systems
- Background working in Agile environments with tools like Jira
- Exposure to documentation built for localization
- Experience integrating with CRM platforms
Technology Environment
You’ll work with a modern stack including Markdown, HTML, XML, Docusaurus, DITA XML, CSS, Git, Jira, and CRM systems to build and deliver documentation at scale.
Compensation and Benefits
This position offers a salary range of $88,600 to $121,800 per year, with eligibility for an annual bonus. Comprehensive benefits include medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) plan, and paid time off.
Work Location
This is an on-site role based in the United States. Candidates must be eligible to work in the country without sponsorship.
