Responsibilities
- Investigate existing Scala systems to identify core issues, differentiate symptoms from root causes, and enhance scalability.
- Redesign the data layer that supports machine learning and artificial intelligence products, addressing an open and complex challenge.
- Develop a Rust framework enabling teams to deliver correct and high-performance services without reimplementing basic components.
- Enhance observability and resilience across the platform to detect issues before they affect customers.
- Define developer tools and engineering standards to amplify the productivity of the entire team.
- Promote the adoption of AI tools throughout the organization, identifying practical ways to improve engineering workflows.
- Work across the full technology stack, including JVM languages (Java, Scala), Rust, Python, SQL, and Spark.
