TigerData is looking for a Staff Product Marketing Engineer to sit at the intersection of infrastructure, storytelling, and product. You will translate our database architecture into credible, high-signal assets that drive developer adoption, technical understanding, and market awareness. This role is ideal for infrastructure experts who want to shape go-to-market strategy while maintaining a deep technical edge.
What You'll Do
- Develop messaging that resonates with infrastructure teams, architects, and hands-on builders.
- Translate Postgres-powered architecture into clear, compelling positioning for time-series, vector, and hybrid workloads.
- Craft developer-native language that communicates TigerData’s real-time performance, reliability, and scalability.
- Create hands-on technical content, including benchmark reports, performance comparisons, engineering blogs with working SQL, product walkthroughs, solution briefs, and explainer videos.
- Build technical artifacts like sample queries, schema models, reference architectures, and demo applications.
- Design and run benchmarks that demonstrate TigerData’s performance and architectural advantages.
- Collaborate with engineering to test ingestion rates, query throughput, latency, compression, and vector retrieval speed.
- Turn benchmark results into clear, technically credible reports and visualizations.
- Keep competitive intelligence up to date through hands-on testing of alternatives.
- Collaborate with technical writers to shape documentation, onboarding guides, and tutorials.
- Contribute example queries, schema patterns, and integration instructions.
- Ensure documentation reflects how real developers use TigerData in production.
- Analyze the broader infrastructure and AI ecosystem, including developer trends and evolving architectures.
- Build competitive guides, battlecards, and feature comparisons for technical buyers.
- Stay sharp on emerging tools in the real-time and AI-native stack.
- Own technical go-to-market for new feature launches and infrastructure capabilities.
- Collaborate with product, engineering, and marketing to develop launch narratives, demos, and high-impact content.
- Ensure every launch resonates with developers and drives measurable adoption.
- Equip Sales, Sales Engineers, and Customer Success with technical materials grounded in benchmarks.
- Act as a technical proxy for real developers: test APIs, build with them, and deliver actionable feedback to product teams.
- Shape how Postgres extensions, vector search, and time-series features are presented and used.
What We're Looking For
- Deep infrastructure experience—you understand how modern data systems are built, deployed, and scaled.
- Strong proficiency in PostgreSQL, including schema design, indexing, query planning, and performance tuning.
- Experience designing or running technical benchmarks, ideally in high-ingest or real-time environments.
- Ability to communicate complex infrastructure trade-offs to developers in clear, actionable terms.
- Strong writing skills with a portfolio of technical blogs, documentation, or reports.
- Comfort collaborating across product, engineering, docs, and go-to-market teams.

- Experience with vector databases.
- Experience with time-series architectures.
