EX Squared is hiring a Staff Product Designer, Observability (Remote - US)

Jobgether is hiring a Staff Product Designer, Observability to lead the design of analytics and insights experiences across both open-source and cloud platforms. You will transform complex system metrics and workflow data into actionable insights, creating intuitive interfaces for monitoring and optimization.

What You'll Do

• Lead the design of observability, analytics, and insights experiences across multiple platforms.
• Create intuitive and visually appealing interfaces that make complex system metrics and workflow data accessible for all users.
• Conduct user research with developers, engineers, and operations teams to inform design decisions.
• Collaborate with Product Managers and Engineers to plan, validate, and iterate on projects from concept to delivery.
• Develop low- and high-fidelity mockups, interactive prototypes, and data visualization designs.
• Establish scalable design patterns and system components for time-series data, workflow traces, and system health metrics.
• Ensure all designs meet accessibility standards (WCAG Level AA 2.1) and promote inclusivity.

What We're Looking For

• 6+ years of professional experience designing digital products, with a focus on data visualization or analytics.
• Proven ability to design for complex technical systems and developer platforms.
• Strong proficiency in Figma and familiarity with design systems and data visualization libraries.
• Excellent communication skills with experience translating technical requirements into user-centered designs.
• Self-starter with a collaborative mindset, able to work across teams and influence product outcomes.
• Comfortable working in fast-paced, evolving environments, particularly in cloud-native and open-source spaces.

Nice to Have

• Understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and developer tools like GitHub and Terminal.

• Compensation: $187,000 – $220,000 + equity eligibility.
