CloudLinux is looking for a Staff Engineer (Agentic Domain Owner) to take absolute, end-to-end ownership of a critical logical domain within our Endless Lifecycle Support (ELS) Automation suite. You will be the technical and operational driver, cutting through meeting gridlock and dependency hell to build, own the roadmap, and orchestrate delivery using an AI-first approach.
What You'll Do
- Own the vision and production code for your specific logical part of ELS, including GitLab CI pipelines and production stability.
- Move from experiment to production-ready solution in days, bypassing documentation overhead by using AI to generate specs and test suites.
- Identify where your domain needs to move to Public Cloud to solve scaling bottlenecks and lead that pivot.
- Use modern AI tools (Claude Code, Cursor, etc.) to orchestrate the entire SDLC, refactor legacy code, catch edge cases, and automate documentation.
- Validate AI outputs to ensure your domain doesn't drift into 'Dark Architecture' or 'AI Slop'.
- Act as the primary interface between business needs and shippable code for your domain, prioritizing roadmap by Impact vs. Risk.
- Drive outcomes through direct incident coordination and continuous observability, ensuring your domain stays high-velocity and autonomous.
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience as a senior or staff-level engineer with full ownership of a critical production domain.
- Deep expertise in building and maintaining complex automation systems and CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI).
- Strong ability to use modern AI development tools to accelerate and orchestrate the entire software development lifecycle.
- Experience with public cloud migration to solve scaling challenges.
- Ability to cut through ambiguity, make high-impact decisions, and drive projects from concept to production without direct oversight.
- Focus on production stability, observability, and operational excellence.
