Abbott is hiring a Staff Database Developer/Architect to apply technical knowledge towards improving the lives of people with diabetes. You will work on a modern SaaS cloud platform serving users in over 49 countries, supporting scalable, highly available, reliable, efficient, and secure cloud solutions for a medical device SaaS.

What You'll Do

Architect and support a high-performance, highly scalable, flexible, and cost-effective cloud-based data platform.
Design and plan future architecture to store and manage rapid data growth.
Architect, design, and implement the cybersecurity of the data platform.
Identify and solve design and technology issues within the current systems.
Collaborate with internal and external partners to design, develop, and integrate with multiple internal and external products and platforms.
Create software architecture and design documentation for the supported solutions and overall best practices and patterns.
Stay current with emerging trends, making recommendations as needed to help the organization innovate.

What We're Looking For

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, other relevant field, or equivalent experience.
Proven experience with data architecture and design in the cloud.
Familiar with architecture principles, patterns, framework, and blueprints.
Familiar with Cybersecurity best practices and solutions for supported architecture.
Experience with documenting architectural and design decisions.
Experience with working and supporting multiple development team members.
Ability to work well with a team in a high-performance organization.
Comfortable working asynchronously with a distributed team.
Excellent written, verbal, and listening communication skills.
Eagerness to contribute beyond experience level.

Compensation: $111,300.00 – $222,700.00
