Apex.AI is seeking a Staff Bazel Engineer to join our Engineering department. This role is a key position dedicated to enhancing our core build system infrastructure and development processes.
What You'll Do
- Design, implement, and maintain scalable Bazel build configurations and tooling.
- Lead efforts to optimize build performance and reliability across our codebase.
- Establish best practices and patterns for using Bazel within the engineering organization.
- Collaborate with development teams to integrate Bazel into their daily workflows.
- Diagnose and resolve complex build system issues.
What We're Looking For
- Deep, hands-on expertise with Bazel, including writing custom rules and extensions.
- Proven experience designing and managing large-scale, multi-language build systems.
- Strong proficiency in Python, C++, or similar languages for tooling development.
- Ability to analyze and improve build performance and dependency management.
- Excellent communication skills for guiding teams on build system adoption.
Work Mode
This position is onsite at our office in Palo Alto.
