GreenLite is hiring a Staff Accountant

GreenLite is looking for a Staff Accountant to join our growing finance team. In this early-career role, you’ll support a high-growth tech startup by managing core accounting functions, ensuring financial accuracy, and contributing to process improvements. You’ll work cross-functionally while building a strong foundation in accounting principles and operations.

What You'll Do

• Review and issue customer invoices accurately and on time.
• Own the accounts receivable aging and follow up on outstanding balances.
• Collaborate with sales and operations teams to resolve billing issues.
• Assist in cash receipt application and bank reconciliations.
• Help maintain accurate records in the general ledger.
• Assist in managing the internal spend request (purchase order) process.
• Encourage approval process adherence for spend requests.
• Own the monthly spend variance analysis.
• Work with spend request owners to ensure billing timing accuracy.
• Own the expense accrual process during the close cycle.
• Own the expense deferral process (prepaid expenses).
• Work cross-functionally to ensure accurate commission and bonus accruals.
• Support the month-end close process by reviewing the work of external bookkeeping partners.
• Work with external bookkeeping partners to ensure data integrity.
• Assist in implementing process improvements for billing, collections, and reconciliation.
• Participate in ad hoc projects like financial reporting, audit preparation, and systems migration.

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and accrual accounting principles.
• 2-4+ years of accounting experience.
• Understanding of basic accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills (e.g., basic formulas, sorting, filtering, VLOOKUPs).
• Clear written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work well independently and as part of a team.
• Positive attitude and eagerness to contribute.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational, and time management skills.

Nice to Have

• Experience in a fast-paced high-growth environment.
• Experience working with external bookkeeping partners.
• Exposure to invoicing systems, QuickBooks, and/or ERP tools.
• Experience with and/or willingness to learn about technical systems integrations (AirTable, Bill.com, Quickbooks).
