What You'll Do

Translate business needs into strong visual creative at both conceptual and execution levels.
Provide strategic leadership in video editing to elevate the overall quality of SpaceX's video content for major missions and projects.
Lead the editing process for major space missions, ensuring a seamless and captivating narrative that highlights key moments.
Apply color grading techniques to footage to enhance visual storytelling and ensure consistency.
Work closely with project leads to bring higher artistic and technical proficiency to storytelling and video editing.
Craft video content showcasing the transformative impact of SpaceX on the future of space exploration.
Collaborate closely with Cinematographers, Producers, and cross-functional teams to ensure cohesive storytelling.

What We're Looking For

Bachelor's degree.
8+ years of experience as a video editor.
Experience working for global clients and brands.
Must provide examples of prior work with application.
Must be willing to work some weekends to support launch operations and critical project timelines.
Willingness to travel to remote launch sites or production locations as needed.
Must be eligible to obtain required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State (ITAR).

Nice to Have

Bachelor’s degree in video editing or video production.
12+ years of demonstrated expertise as a video editor with a portfolio showcasing excellence in storytelling and technical proficiency.
Demonstrate awareness of industry trends and technological advancements in video editing.
Exceptional proficiency in video editing software and post-production tools.
Strong organizational and communication skills, with ability to lead and collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
A passionate creative developer who can take direction on some projects and willing to take the lead on others.

Team & Environment

You will collaborate with designers, artists, project leads, Cinematographers, Producers, and cross-functional teams.

Compensation: $110,000.00 - $145,000.00/per year + equity: Eligible for long-term incentives in the form of company stock, stock options, or long-term cash awards.
