Jobgether is looking for a Sr Support Engineer - Power BI to serve as the primary technical expert for complex business intelligence solutions. This remote US role combines hands-on technical work with mentorship, ensuring the stability and performance of our enterprise reporting platforms.
What You'll Do
- Act as the subject matter expert for BI platforms, guiding Tier 1, 2, and 3 support teams.
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve complex Power BI issues for end users.
- Manage datasets, workspaces, gateways, and user permissions in line with governance standards.
- Optimize report performance, dataset refreshes, and BI capacity usage.
- Administer deployments, release management, and proactive monitoring of BI platforms.
- Develop documentation, SOPs, and provide advanced training for internal users.
- Collaborate with data engineering, analytics, and functional teams to resolve upstream data and integration issues.
What We're Looking For
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in software development, technical support, or BI systems.
- 2+ years working with HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, Angular, and TypeScript.
- Proficiency with SQL, Stored Procedures, DDL, and experience with databases like SQL Server and MySQL.
- Hands-on experience consuming RESTful APIs and working in cloud-based platforms (preferably AWS).
- Knowledge of client-server and web development architecture.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills to mentor teams and support users effectively.
- Experience managing and optimizing Power BI environments, including workspaces, datasets, and reporting pipelines.
