Jobgether is hiring a Senior Data Engineer to design, implement, and optimize advanced data solutions that support complex business and client needs. You will combine hands-on technical delivery with mentorship, collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop robust cloud-based architectures.
What You'll Do
- Design and develop scalable, efficient cloud-based data architectures to meet client and business requirements.
- Implement data integration solutions using APIs, web services, and ETL/ELT pipelines to ensure seamless information flow.
- Manage and optimize databases for performance, reliability, and scalability, applying best practices for indexing and query optimization.
- Maintain data security and compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders, to deliver high-quality solutions.
- Mentor and coach junior team members, sharing knowledge, reviewing code, and promoting best practices.
- Assist in client engagements, including requirement gathering, solution design, and post-deployment enablement.
- Develop proof-of-concepts, lab environments, and business cases to demonstrate the benefits of advanced data solutions.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Data Engineer or similar role, with demonstrated success delivering complex projects.
- Proficiency in Python, SQL, YML, Terraform, and related coding or scripting languages.
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and associated data services.
- Familiarity with Big Data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, and related tools.
- Experience with SCM tools such as Git, GitHub, and GitLab.
- Knowledge of automation and configuration management solutions.
- Strong communication skills to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Nice to Have
- Bilingual French & English is an asset.
- Optional certifications: Google Professional Data Engineer, Databricks Certified Data Engineer, Azure or AWS data engineering certifications.
