Responsibilities
- Plan weekly in-person or virtual sales calls based on results within assigned agency assignments.
- Provide timely feedback and recommendations to management on market conditions, service levels, and program effectiveness.
- Respond to telephone and written inquiries, comments, questions, and concerns from agents or customers.
- Effectively identify and evaluate potential agency prospects.
- Select agencies where mutually beneficial relationships will generate profitable business.
- Assist management with special assignments beyond standard duties.
- Complete seminars or courses to enhance team contributions through expanded knowledge and skills.
- Assist with interviews or train new employees as needed.
- Develop agencies profitably within assigned assignments.
- Influence agents to quote and sell products to customers.
- Execute sales strategy to grow market share in the assigned territory.
- Adjust sales tactics based on company goals and industry climate.
- Coordinate with team members and departments to optimize sales goals.
- Mentor and train less experienced sales representatives.
- Maintain a well-developed pipeline of agent prospects.
- Articulate a need-based sales process that is mutually beneficial and addresses agency needs.
- Understand and consider differences and complexity within assigned agencies.
- Complete strategic plans for assigned agencies to identify opportunities and challenges.
- Show initiative and resolve complex issues with minimal supervision.
- Thoroughly know systems and point-of-sale platform to assist agencies when needed.
- Ensure agency teams are fully trained.
- Understand focus, business appetites, and capitalize on opportunities to sell products.
- Articulate company position and seek business with appropriate agencies to meet objectives.
- Drive results through regular contact with agencies using effective communication backed by data and metrics.
- Hold agency owners accountable for mutually agreed goals.
