Miami University Libraries seeks a Sr Personnel Technician to oversee the daily operations of the personnel office. You will perform complex administrative tasks requiring discretion and independent judgment while contributing to the University’s scholarly community dedicated to intellectual inquiry and personal responsibility.
What You'll Do
- Monitor and review unit operations to ensure smooth workflow and professional standards.
- Serve as an informational resource for staff, investigating and resolving problems.
- Perform financial tasks like preparing budgets, processing payments, and maintaining supply inventory.
- Maintain and process employee records, analyze statistical information, and prepare reports.
- Oversee and provide functional guidance to student employees, including scheduling and reviewing performance.
- Maintain strict confidentiality of all information.
What We're Looking For
- Eighteen months of coursework or training beyond high school in Business Administration plus three years of related experience, or an equivalent combination.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain confidential information.
- Knowledge of unit operations, policies, and procedures.
- Supervisory skills.
- Knowledge of computer and office applications.
- Research skills.
Nice to Have
- Previous experience with Workday HCM.
- In-depth knowledge of unit operations, policies, and procedures.
