Role Overview
This position drives advisor recruitment by initiating outbound contact with experienced financial professionals. Using a consultative approach, the consultant identifies potential candidates interested in transitioning firms and guides them through initial exploration of affiliation opportunities. The role plays a key part in advancing firm-wide business development objectives by connecting qualified prospects with internal recruiting partners.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct high-volume outbound calling, including cold outreach and follow-ups with existing leads, to generate interest among financial advisors.
- Identify and engage experienced advisors and institutions considering a change in affiliation.
- Assess advisor needs and match them to appropriate business models through structured evaluation and feedback analysis.
- Facilitate introductions by scheduling and confirming meetings between prospects and recruiting personnel.
- Follow up after meetings to support continuity and next steps in the recruitment process.
- Adjust outreach strategies based on advisor input and in coordination with recruiting teams.
- Maintain strong working relationships with internal partners across the recruitment network.
- Support the design and refinement of business development tactics to improve outreach effectiveness.
- Perform additional duties as needed to support team goals.
Qualifications
A bachelor’s degree and 3–5 years of experience in sales, business development, or financial services are required. Candidates must understand securities industry practices, investment principles, and financial market dynamics. Proficiency with a proprietary CRM system is essential for sourcing and tracking prospects. Strong communication, active listening, and objection-handling skills are critical for success. The ideal candidate can manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced setting, adapt to shifting priorities, and work both independently and as part of a team. Experience collaborating across departments to achieve shared goals is highly valued.
Work Environment & Benefits
This role offers remote work flexibility with less than 25% travel expected. Compensation includes a base salary range of $80,000–$150,000, with additional commission potential.
