About the Role
This position is responsible for administering, maintaining, and enhancing OpenShift clusters to ensure high availability, security, and performance across enterprise systems.
Responsibilities
- Manage the deployment, configuration, and maintenance of OpenShift container platforms.
- Ensure cluster stability, scalability, and security across production and non-production environments.
- Monitor system performance and implement optimizations to improve efficiency.
- Troubleshoot complex issues within containerized environments and coordinate resolutions.
- Collaborate with development teams to support CI/CD pipeline integration.
- Implement and enforce security best practices for container orchestration.
- Maintain documentation for system configurations, processes, and incident responses.
- Perform regular system upgrades and patch management for OpenShift components.
- Design and implement backup and disaster recovery strategies for container workloads.
- Support compliance initiatives with internal and external security standards.
- Automate routine administrative tasks using scripting and infrastructure-as-code tools.
- Work closely with network and security teams to ensure platform resilience.
- Assist in capacity planning and resource allocation for cloud-native applications.
- Evaluate new OpenShift features and advise on adoption strategies.
- Respond to on-call incidents and maintain system uptime SLAs.
Nice to Have
- Red Hat Certified Specialist or OpenShift Administrator certification.
- Experience supporting large-scale containerized applications.
- Background in DevOps practices and agile development environments.
- Familiarity with service mesh technologies like Istio.
- Knowledge of GitOps workflows and tools such as ArgoCD.
