About the Role
Lead the instrumentation and controls discipline, providing technical leadership and ensuring the successful delivery of projects.
Responsibilities
- Manage and lead a team of instrumentation and controls engineers and designers.
- Develop and implement strategies for instrumentation and controls systems.
- Ensure compliance with project specifications, standards, and regulations.
- Coordinate with project managers, clients, and stakeholders to define project scope and objectives.
- Prepare and review technical reports, drawings, and specifications.
- Conduct site inspections and audits to ensure quality and safety standards are met.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior staff.
- Manage project budgets and schedules to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery.
- Develop and maintain relationships with clients and vendors.
- Implement and manage quality control processes.
- Ensure that all project documentation is accurate and up-to-date.
- Collaborate with other disciplines to integrate instrumentation and controls systems.
- Identify and mitigate risks associated with instrumentation and controls systems.
- Conduct feasibility studies and provide recommendations for system improvements.
- Develop and implement training programs for staff.
- Ensure that all projects meet health, safety, and environmental standards.
- Manage and coordinate the procurement of instrumentation and controls equipment.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and provide feedback to team members.
- Develop and implement project management plans.
- Ensure that all projects are completed within the specified timeframe and budget.
- Conduct regular meetings with clients to discuss project progress and address concerns.
- Develop and implement strategies for continuous improvement.
- Ensure that all projects are completed to the highest quality standards.
- Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Nice to Have
- Master's degree in a related field.
- Certification in project management (e.g., PMP, Prince2).
- Experience in a similar role within a consulting firm.
