About the Role

Lead the instrumentation and controls discipline, providing technical leadership and ensuring the successful delivery of projects.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and lead a team of instrumentation and controls engineers and designers.
  • Develop and implement strategies for instrumentation and controls systems.
  • Ensure compliance with project specifications, standards, and regulations.
  • Coordinate with project managers, clients, and stakeholders to define project scope and objectives.
  • Prepare and review technical reports, drawings, and specifications.
  • Conduct site inspections and audits to ensure quality and safety standards are met.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior staff.
  • Manage project budgets and schedules to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients and vendors.
  • Implement and manage quality control processes.
  • Ensure that all project documentation is accurate and up-to-date.
  • Collaborate with other disciplines to integrate instrumentation and controls systems.
  • Identify and mitigate risks associated with instrumentation and controls systems.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and provide recommendations for system improvements.
  • Develop and implement training programs for staff.
  • Ensure that all projects meet health, safety, and environmental standards.
  • Manage and coordinate the procurement of instrumentation and controls equipment.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and provide feedback to team members.
  • Develop and implement project management plans.
  • Ensure that all projects are completed within the specified timeframe and budget.
  • Conduct regular meetings with clients to discuss project progress and address concerns.
  • Develop and implement strategies for continuous improvement.
  • Ensure that all projects are completed to the highest quality standards.
  • Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.

Nice to Have

  • Master's degree in a related field.
  • Certification in project management (e.g., PMP, Prince2).
  • Experience in a similar role within a consulting firm.
  • Familiarity with industry-specific software and tools.
  • Experience in managing large-scale projects.
  • Knowledge of international standards and regulations.
  • Experience in conducting risk assessments and mitigation strategies.
  • Ability to develop and implement innovative solutions.
