About the Role
The individual in this position will lead network architecture initiatives, support ongoing operations, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure robust and scalable network solutions.
Responsibilities
- Design and deploy scalable network systems across multiple environments
- Monitor network performance and proactively address potential issues
- Implement and maintain secure network configurations
- Support hybrid cloud and on-premises network integrations
- Troubleshoot complex connectivity and routing problems
- Maintain network documentation and configuration baselines
- Collaborate with security teams to enforce network policies
- Optimize network traffic for efficiency and reliability
- Lead network upgrades and technology refresh projects
- Respond to network outages and lead resolution efforts
- Configure and manage firewalls, switches, and routers
- Ensure compliance with internal and external standards
- Evaluate new networking technologies for potential adoption
- Support disaster recovery and business continuity planning
- Participate in change management processes for network modifications
- Work with vendors to resolve hardware and service issues
- Develop automation scripts to streamline network operations
- Provide technical guidance to junior team members
- Assist in capacity planning for future network demands
- Maintain consistent communication with stakeholders during incidents
Nice to Have
- Master's degree in a technical discipline
- Experience with zero-trust network architectures
- Working knowledge of Kubernetes networking models
- Familiarity with SASE and cloud access security brokers
- Involvement in large-scale network migrations
- Track record of leading incident response teams
- Prior experience in regulated industries
- Active CISSP or other advanced security certification
