Responsibilities
- Deliver operational, HR, and administrative assistance to support internal functions
- Support a nonprofit operating across multiple state regions
- Enhance the efficiency and scalability of the business operations team as the organization grows
- Assist with accounts payable tasks, including employee expense reports and reimbursement processing
- Help staff with insurance-related documentation for program participation
- Facilitate state compliance activities, including business license registration and reporting in new jurisdictions
- Provide planning and logistical coordination for organizational events, including major milestones such as the 2026 30th-anniversary gathering
- Process donations and membership payments, and generate financial reports for external accountants
- Offer consistent administrative and communication support across geographically dispersed teams and departments
- Complete additional duties as assigned by management
- Monitor updates to labor regulations in states where staff are employed, and communicate changes to employees through official notices and internal updates
- Assist with onboarding and orientation for new hires, especially seasonal field crews in eastern regions
- Support annual Workers’ Compensation audits with documentation and data preparation
