Cox Automotive is hiring a Senior Mobile Vehicle Inspector for the Manheim Express team serving the Raleigh Durham, NC region. In this role, you will be responsible for providing accurate and complete documentation of overall vehicle condition following the Manheim Express Inspection process directly at client locations.

What You'll Do

Locate, start, move, inspect, and return vehicles on dealer’s lots safely.
Conduct a thorough assessment of vehicle condition using the Manheim Express Inspection process.
Verify vehicle identification and enter accurate information into the inspection system for VIN, mileage, and sub-series.
Inspect vehicle equipment and options, documenting damage, missing, or inoperable items.
Inspect and record vehicle exterior condition, including tires, frame, glass, panels, and mechanical components.
Inspect and record vehicle interior condition, including seats, dashboard, and options.
Perform basic mechanical checks on powertrain, drivetrain, and electrical components.
Work closely with teammates, field sales, and customer care to create a superior customer experience.
Utilize SalesForce.com for reporting, lead input, and customer performance reviews.
Inform and educate dealers of changes in auction policies and procedures.
Partner with clients to inspect vehicles at their location and ask for more inventory.
Follow all safety and health procedures, modeling safe behaviors.

What We're Looking For

High School Diploma/GED and 5 years of experience.
Valid driver’s license and safe driving record.
Reliable transportation.
Ability to travel locally 100% of the time.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong technical aptitude and must be detail oriented.
Motivated to work independently with remote supervision.
Ability to multitask, follow directions, and take instruction.
Ability to lift and hold at least 30 lbs. at waist level for an extended period.
Regularly required to stand, walk, talk, and hear; frequently required to crouch, bend, and kneel.
Near vision abilities and ability to deal with different lighting conditions for detailed inspection.
Physical ability and mental acuity to execute duties successfully within required timeframes.

Nice to Have

Extensive automotive knowledge.
Two to three years of automotive-related experience.
Experience navigating handheld and other documentation devices.
Body, paint, and mechanical repair knowledge.
Familiarity with unibody and full-frame construction.

Benefits & Compensation

Hourly pay rate: $16.44 - $24.71/hour.
Employees are eligible to receive a minimum of sixteen hours of paid time off every month and seven paid holidays annually.
