Cox Automotive is looking for a Sr Mobile Vehicle Inspector to join the Manheim Express team in Louisville, KY. In this role, you will be the primary point for providing accurate and complete documentation of overall vehicle condition, working directly with dealers to assess their inventory.
What You'll Do
- Locate, start, move, inspect, and return vehicles on dealer’s lots safely.
- Conduct thorough assessment of vehicle condition following the Manheim Express Inspection process.
- Verify vehicle identification and enter accurate vehicle information into the inspection system.
- Inspect vehicle equipment, options, and document results including damage or inoperable items.
- Inspect and record vehicle exterior condition, including tires, frame, glass, panels, and mechanical components.
- Inspect and record vehicle interior condition, including seats, dashboard, and options.
- Perform basic mechanical checks on powertrain, drivetrain, and electrical components.
- Work closely with teammates, field sales, and customer care to create a superior customer experience.
- Utilize SalesForce.com for reporting, lead input, and customer performance reviews.
- Inform and educate dealers of changes in auction policies and procedures.
- Partner with clients to inspect vehicles at their location and ask for more inventory.
- Visibly demonstrate safety commitment by following all safety and health procedures.
What We're Looking For
- High School Diploma/GED and 5 years of experience.
- Valid driver’s license and safe driving record.
- Reliable transportation is required.
- Local field travel 100%.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong technical aptitude and must be detail orientated.
- Motivated to work independently with remote supervision.
- Ability to multitask, follow directions, and take instruction.
- Ability to lift and hold at least 30 lbs. at waist level for an extended period.
- Regularly required to stand, walk, talk, and hear.
- Frequently required to crouch, bend, and kneel to inspect vehicles.
- Near vision abilities required to assess vehicle condition.
- Ability to deal with different lighting conditions.
- Requires physical ability and mental acuity to execute duties within required timeframes.
- Must clear a pre-employment drug test.
Nice to Have
- Extensive automotive knowledge.
- Two to three years of any automotive related experience.
- Experience in navigating handheld and other documentation devices.
- Body, paint, and mechanical repair knowledge.
- Familiarity with unibody and full-frame construction.

Benefits & Compensation
- Hourly pay rate: $16.44 - $24.71/hour.
- Annual incentive/commission target of $6,000.00.
- Minimum of sixteen hours of paid time off every month and seven paid holidays annually.
