Parsons Transportation Group is looking for an MEP Lead to manage all mechanical, electrical, and plumbing design, coordination, and execution for large-scale airport, airfield, and infrastructure projects. You will ensure compliance with international standards and client requirements, driving technical excellence and fostering collaboration across multidisciplinary teams.
What You'll Do
- Lead and manage all MEP design, coordination, and execution activities for airfield, terminal, and support infrastructure packages.
- Review and approve MEP design submissions, technical specifications, shop drawings, and installation methodologies.
- Ensure compliance with relevant international standards (e.g., ASHRAE, NFPA, IEC), GACA, ICAO, and local codes.
- Oversee MEP interface coordination across multidisciplinary teams, including architectural, structural, civil, and systems contractors.
- Lead resolution of MEP design conflicts and technical issues, facilitating timely decisions and risk mitigation.
- Coordinate with BIM teams to review and resolve clashes using digital collaboration tools.
- Develop and enforce quality standards, inspection protocols, and testing procedures for all MEP systems.
- Collaborate with the HSE team to ensure all MEP works adhere to safety and environmental regulations.
- Monitor contractor performance against technical and contractual requirements.
- Support the development of procurement strategies, tender evaluations, and contract technical clarifications.
- Act as the primary technical interface for MEP matters between the client, consultants, contractors, and regulatory authorities.
- Prepare and present technical reports, risk assessments, and progress updates to senior management.
- Mentor and guide MEP engineers and discipline leads, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
- Promote collaboration and knowledge sharing within the MEP team and across other disciplines.
- Support capability building within the client organization and external partners.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Building Services Engineering.
- 15+ years of progressive experience in MEP engineering leadership roles on large-scale airport, airfield, or infrastructure projects.
- Demonstrated experience managing complex, multidisciplinary MEP programs in fast-paced, regulated environments.
- Extensive knowledge of MEP system design, installation, commissioning, and testing within aviation or similar industries.
- Proficiency in BIM coordination tools (e.g., Revit, Navisworks) and project management software (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project).
- Deep understanding of sustainability and energy efficiency practices in MEP engineering.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to drive technical excellence while managing multiple concurrent MEP packages.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure in complex project environments.
- Fluency in English is required.
- Commitment to quality, safety, and regulatory compliance.
Nice to Have
- Professional certifications such as PMP, CEng, or equivalent are highly desirable.
- Previous experience working in the GCC region and familiarity with GACA regulations is a strong advantage.
- Arabic language skills are advantageous.
