About the Role

Gilead Sciences, Inc. is looking for a Sr. Manager, Business Process to provide strategic direction for procedural documentation, project management, and process improvement initiatives. You will manage junior staff, collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders, and drive the adoption of best practices to support our mission of creating a healthier world.

What You'll Do

  • Contribute strategic direction to oversee procedural documentation, project management, and process improvement with stakeholders and subject matter experts.
  • Perform content review and quality control for a portfolio of documents to ensure alignment with Gilead policies.
  • Contribute to plans for resolving complex issues and executing corrective actions.
  • Drive continued team progress on multiple projects during and between meetings.
  • Determine actions to achieve team goals and leverage junior staff accordingly.
  • Manage junior staff and develop their capabilities in alignment with organizational priorities.
  • Synthesize complex data and present findings clearly to senior leadership.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to assess process alignment and prioritize necessary revisions.
  • Support budget creation and resource allocation decision-making.
  • Contribute to the development and delivery of internal training materials as needed.
  • Drive standardization and the adoption of best practices across the Development Operations organization.

What We're Looking For

  • 8+ years of relevant experience with a Bachelor’s Degree OR 6+ years with a Master’s Degree.
  • Familiarity with highly regulated industry environments or drug development.
  • Fluency in the Microsoft Office suite (including Visio and Project).
  • Excellent ability to communicate across the organizational hierarchy and cross-functionally.
  • Experience managing teams in a business operations or technical processes environment.
  • Excellent project management, consensus-building, and leadership skills.
  • Exceptional ability to manage changing priorities and ambiguity.

Nice to Have

  • 2+ years of experience in the biotechnology or pharmaceuticals industry.
  • Experience with Lean Six Sigma or other process improvement methodologies.
  • Willingness to travel.

  • Compensation: $143,225.00 - $185,350.00
