Cleveland Clinic Health System is hiring a Health Content Director to lead the day-to-day operations of our Health Library and Health Essentials platforms. These trusted resources provide health information to nearly 1 billion people each year. You will manage a team of medical writers to create and maintain content that supports people at every stage of their health journey.
What You'll Do
- Lead a team of 20 experienced medical writers, working with the Editorial Director to shape and execute content strategy.
- Guide writers in translating complex medical literature into easy-to-understand content at a 6th- to 8th-grade reading level.
- Collaborate with the SEO team to evaluate and prioritize content opportunities.
- Review monthly content calendars to ensure editorial quality, consistency, and relevance.
- Partner with advertising partners on monetized content campaigns.
- Support content development across video, podcast, and email channels.
- Oversee regular content audits and maintenance to keep both platforms accurate and up to date.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Internet/Digital Marketing, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 7 years of web-related experience, inclusive of 3 years of managerial and business-to-consumer marketing experience.
Nice to Have
- Master’s Degree.
- Previous editorial healthcare experience.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively organize, plan, direct, manage, and maintain an effective web presence.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Working knowledge of web-related technologies, current web trends, other media development processes, and social media marketing initiatives.

You will lead a team of 20 medical writers and work closely with the Editorial Director.
Work Mode
This is a remote role open to candidates located in Northeast Ohio.
