Magellan Health is hiring a Senior IT Product Owner to ensure engineering teams execute on product strategy, development, and lifecycle management for our healthcare Core Payer Solutions. This fully remote role involves defining the product vision and strategy, building and executing roadmaps, and measuring business value delivered.

What You'll Do

Partner with business and client stakeholders to define the vision and strategy for a portfolio of products.
Build and execute on roadmaps and measure business value delivered.
Manage demand management, project and incident escalation, and 3rd party vendor relationships.
Manage release planning, cross functional coordination, and business/client facing presentations.
Work with business partners to define business value and set business boundaries for the product.
Assume responsibility for the strategy, roadmap, and feature definition for the product or product line.
Deliver upon commitments to the roadmap including participation in design sessions, scrum meetings, product demonstrations, and planning sessions.
Leverage direct and indirect resources and third parties for defining technical requirements or design needs.
Develop release plans with specific feature/functionality based on value to the business and speed to market.
Perform 'build versus buy' analysis and define architectural landscape and integration capabilities.
Understand and assess pricing and licensing models for infrastructure and software.
Identify efficiency opportunities in current state product and supporting environments.
Participate in financial planning and monitoring, including budget setting, forecasting, and tracking spend.
Partner with sales to ensure technical capabilities align with proposed scope of services.
Partner with account management to ensure business requirements are accurately captured and communicated.
Lead or participate in client facing meetings to define scope, outline capabilities, or represent status.
Identify key performance indicators (KPIs) to track and monitor product efficacy.
Forecast product obsolescence and migration strategies for data transition.
Perform cross organization collaboration with project managers, iteration managers and other stakeholders.
Assess cost versus benefit and return on investment (ROI) analyses.
Assess changes in business needs and adapt product direction and/or identify risks.

What We're Looking For

7+ years of product management experience.
4+ years of experience leading teams.
Experience with Agile software development methodologies.

Nice to Have

Familiarity with core payer capabilities: Eligibility / Enrollment solutions, Claims-Encounters data management, Claims Processing and Provider Services.

Benefits & Compensation

Salary range: $93,955 - $159,725
Eligible for short-term incentives.
