Kraken is looking for a Sr. Institutional Relationship Manager to expand our institutional client base and generate new revenue across APAC. This role focuses on building relationships with asset managers, hedge funds, banks, and financial institutions, while promoting our full product suite within a mission-focused company rooted in crypto values.
What You'll Do
- Support the institutional sales effort across APAC, driving client and volume growth for the institutional Kraken product suite.
- Generate, filter, and pursue client leads, including responding to inbound opportunities and assisting team members.
- Build trustworthy relationships with institutional clients to understand their needs and demonstrate how Kraken can generate value.
- Partner with Marketing, Product, Strategy, and Business Development teams to provide market intelligence and develop new product features.
- Participate in industry events and conferences to generate leads and enhance Kraken’s institutional brand presence.
- Be a Kraken advocate in promoting our full product suite of products, services and company’s value to new and existing clients.
What We're Looking For
- Over 4 years of expertise in trading environments demonstrating a proven track record of driving sales and expanding business within the institutional sales segment.
- Experience working at a crypto company, driving adoption of financial products for institutional clients (OTC, prime brokerage, custody, API solutions, etc.).
- Deep understanding of cryptocurrency regulations and how to navigate evolving regulatory landscapes.
- Strong, well-established network across the financial services world, with deep relationships among institutional and corporate clients.
- Located in APAC, with fluency in English and Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese).

You will join the Institutional Sales team at a fully remote company with Krakenites in 70+ countries who speak over 50 languages.
Work Mode
This is a fully remote, global position. The role is focused on the APAC region.
