About the Role

Sarah Cannon Research Institute (SCRI) is hiring a Sr. Director, Project Management & Clinical Affairs to oversee the strategic direction and daily operations for the Project Management and Clinical Affairs departments. In this remote role, you will lead clinical operations with a focus on managing clinical team leads, ensuring compliance, and driving initiatives to enhance study delivery for oncology trials. We are a team dedicated to transforming cancer care through clinical excellence and research, with patients at the heart of every decision.

What You'll Do

  • Ensure departmental compliance with global regulations and SCRI SOPs; develop and update SOPs and processes.
  • Monitor evolving regulatory requirements (e.g., ICH‑GCP, FDA, EMA) and update departmental practices to maintain current industry standards.
  • Establish and lead the clinical operations strategy, setting departmental goals and driving a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Lead the evaluation and implementation of new technologies and methodologies to enhance clinical monitoring, site start‑up, and operational efficiency.
  • Oversee change management efforts for new processes or systems, ensuring effective communication and staff adoption.
  • Promote strong cross‑functional collaboration with internal stakeholders and external partners to enable seamless operational execution.
  • Manage departmental budgets, forecasting, and financial performance.
  • Develop policies and procedures that uphold Sarah Cannon’s mission to improve patient outcomes through high-quality clinical research.
  • Supervise, train, and mentor Project Management and Clinical Affairs staff while improving cross-functional processes.
  • Provide strategic leadership to meet timelines and quality standards, support business growth, and collaborate across Development Innovations and Sarah Cannon.

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor Degree is required.
  • 10+ years of extensive work experience in clinical research, clinical affairs, and project management.
  • Prior work experience as a CRA line manager.
  • Extensive experience in RBM (Risk-based Monitoring).
  • CRO and Oncology experience is required.
  • Prior experience must include a minimum of 2 years as a Director.

Nice to Have

  • A Master's Degree is highly preferred.

Team & Environment

You will oversee the Project Management and Clinical Affairs departments, managing and developing clinical team leads.
