Alteryx is looking for a Sr. Director, Customer Insights & UX Research to unify and lead three critical functions: UX Research, Customer Voice Programs, and Product Telemetry. As a key member of the Product & UX leadership team, you will build and scale a cohesive insights function that empowers product teams to make faster, smarter decisions, working closely with the CPO and product leaders.
What You'll Do
- Unify and scale the Customer Insights function across UX Research, Voice of Customer, and Product Telemetry.
- Lead a team of senior managers and specialists across UX Research (qualitative and quantitative), Customer Voice Programs (VoC and Preview Programs), and Product Telemetry and Analytics Enablement.
- Shape strategic insights that influence product vision, roadmap prioritization, and go-to-market strategies.
- Drive insight accessibility by building dashboards, training programs, and self-service tools to democratize data across the org.
- Represent the customer in executive conversations, bringing clarity, context, and conviction to decision-making forums.
- Establish consistent practices and infrastructure to scale research and telemetry operations.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, UX, Product Ops, Marketing, and Support.
What We're Looking For
- 12+ years of experience across UX Research, Customer Insights, Data Analytics, or related fields.
- 5+ years of experience leading senior leaders and multi-disciplinary teams.
- A strong track record of unifying and scaling customer insight functions in a product-led, B2B SaaS environment.
- Proven ability to influence senior executives and drive business outcomes through insight.
- Deep expertise in at least two of the three domains: UX Research, VoC/Preview Programs, or Product Telemetry.
- Experience operationalizing self-service analytics, building training programs, and coaching teams to use data confidently.
- Excellent storytelling and communication skills—able to turn complexity into clarity.
- A passion for helping teams understand and meet real customer needs.
