Gartner is looking for a Senior Director Analyst to join our Business and Technology Insights (BTI) group. You will act as an industry thought leader, creating must-have insights and best practices for clients, with a focus on Data & Analytics Governance, its maturity, AI's impact, and its intersection with Cybersecurity, Risk, and Compliance.
What You'll Do
- Create innovative, thought-provoking, and highly leveraged 'must-have insights' content.
- Develop new insights and ideas through thought leadership to address client needs and accelerate their ability to act.
- Provide clients and prospects with actionable advice via virtual or face-to-face interactions.
- Create and deliver high-value presentation materials for Gartner events, industry conferences, and client briefings.
- Support sales by serving as the voice of the market to drive client engagement and business growth.
- Provide high-quality and timely content peer review.
- Actively participate in innovation, ideation, and research discussions, collaborating with peers.
- Identify research process improvements to enhance service delivery.
- Mentor and coach more junior team members.
- Lead a body of research focused on Data & Analytics Governance, its maturity, AI's changing role, and intersections with Cybersecurity, Risk, and Compliance.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- 12+ years of experience within the field of D&A Leadership, D&A strategy development, or the role of CDAO.
- Expertise in developing D&A delivery plans including budget, measurement, organizational structures, roles, and maturity levels.
- Demonstrate executive presence and ability to establish credibility with executives.
- Strong organizational skills; ability to work under tight deadlines and produce high-quality deliverables.
- Demonstrate excellence in research and writing ability.
- Strong written and verbal proficiency, analytical and presentation skills.
- Proficient in analyzing and synthesizing data; able to apply patterns and frameworks to client challenges.
- Strong communicator able to explain complex concepts concisely.
- Subject matter expert comfortable presenting at large and small-scale speaking engagements.
- Strong business and financial acumen.
- Deep knowledge of the global and competitive landscape within the subject area.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate across multicultural global teams.
- Learning agile and adept at navigating highly matrixed environments.
- Ability to represent Gartner's research methodology and strategies effectively.
- Willingness and ability to travel up to 25%.
