Shae Group seeks a Fractional CTO / AI Advisory Council Member to provide strategic hourly support. As a senior technical executive, you will be a key advisor, guiding AI product direction and making high-stakes architectural decisions for our AI-first technology company.
What You'll Do
- Host monthly strategy sessions, red-team/design reviews, and architecture assessments.
- Deliver Architecture Decision Records (ADRs), safety/evaluation audits, and threat models.
- Create high-value artifacts including reference designs, governance frameworks, vendor selection tools, and build/buy/partner recommendations.
- Provide asynchronous support for critical product or model decisions.
- Maintain contributions to an internal knowledge base of reviewed ADRs and technical outputs.
- Guide decisions around model reliability, evaluation methodology, cost/latency balancing, monitoring guardrails, and retraining strategies.
What We're Looking For
- A senior technical executive with experience as a CTO, Head of AI, or Principal/Distinguished Engineer.
- Proven excellence in guiding AI product direction and high-stakes architectural decisions.
- Significant depth in AI deployment at scale.
- Ability to provide crisp, actionable guidance and communicate with clarity.
- Capability to zoom out to strategic levels and zoom into granular technical details.
Work Mode
This is a remote, global contractor role. Candidates with global availability are welcome, especially those located in offshore-friendly regions aligned with Western Europe, the U.S., Canada, Australia, Latin America, Israel, Singapore, Malaysia, and Southeast Asia.
