M&T Bank is hiring a Sr Commercial Card Account Manager to lead the ongoing management and growth of merchant and card client relationships. In this role, you will strategically partner with clients to retain, expand, and cross-sell, directly contributing to the revenue generation and success of the bank's Commercial Card business.
What You'll Do
- Serve as the primary point of contact for existing clients utilizing commercial card services.
- Manage and grow an assigned portfolio of existing clients with a strong emphasis on retention and client satisfaction.
- Provide input to management regarding client pricing structure and participate in pricing products and services.
- Monitor spend for managed portfolio clients.
- Leverage industry benchmarking tools from VISA and internal data analytics to assist clients with growth opportunities.
- Transition clients to be self-sufficient with Supplier Enablement, standardized payment terms, and epayables boarding.
- Maintain strong communication with Treasury Management Consultants and Commercial Card Consultants to keep them informed of sales activities and refer business opportunities.
- Directly expand the revenue stream from existing customer relationships, assist Commercial Card Consultants with their sales goals, and help Regional Sales Managers execute strategies.
- Provide training and mentoring to junior Account Managers.
- Adhere to applicable compliance and operational risk controls in accordance with Company or regulatory standards.
- Promote an environment that supports belonging and reflects the M&T Bank brand.
- Maintain M&T internal control standards, including timely implementation of audit and regulatory findings.
- Complete other related duties as assigned.
What We're Looking For
- A Bachelor’s Degree and 5 years of Commercial Card (or related relevant product) sales experience.
- In lieu of a degree, a combined minimum of 9 years of education and/or Commercial Card (or related relevant product) sales experience.
Nice to Have
- Previous account management experience.

- Salary: $89,600.00 - $149,300.00 Annual (USD)
