CrowdStrike is hiring a Sr. Cloud Engineer - Platform Data to build globally distributed, fault-tolerant, and highly-scalable cloud-based systems using a microservices architecture. You will lay the technical foundation for CrowdStrike's security services, enabling other teams to enhance our top-rated security products.
What You'll Do
- Turn rapid prototypes into large-scale, production-ready core services.
- Build and leverage cloud-based services to support our security intelligence platform.
- Ensure petabytes of critical business data remain safe, secure, and available.
- Collaboratively brainstorm, define, and build solutions with members across multiple teams.
- Champion new technologies and share knowledge to raise the team's technical IQ.
- Mentor other developers on backend and data storage technologies while also seeking mentorship.
- Constantly re-evaluate our product to improve architecture, user experience, performance, and stability.
- Take ownership and be accountable for deliverables as a proactive self-starter.
- Use and contribute back to the open source community.
What We're Looking For
- A degree in Computer Science or commensurate experience in data structures, algorithms, and distributed systems.
- Very good understanding of web services, APIs, and integrating disparate systems.
- Very good understanding of multithreading, concurrency, and parallel processing technologies.
- Very good understanding of distributed systems and scalability challenges.
- Strong collaboration skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, test-driven, and iterative environment.
- The ability to meet commitments on time and produce high-quality, unit-tested software that undergoes code review and continuous integration.
Nice to Have
- Experience providing components or systems in a platform team to internal users.
- Experience with GraphQL APIs.
- Experience operating in complex multi-cloud environments.
- Understanding of data security principles and best practices.
