Gallo, a family-owned company with a 90+ year legacy recognized as a Glassdoor 'Best Places to Work,' seeks a Sr. Associate Brand Manager to manage strategic brand initiatives aligned with business goals to drive growth. You will take ownership of the business review process for assigned brands, develop parts of the brand plan, and contribute to Agile Roadmap development.
What You'll Do
- Own the business review process for assigned brands, identifying actionable items and initiatives supporting the marketing plan and growth objectives.
- Independently develop parts of the brand plan, including subline or channel strategies and key marketing initiatives.
- Contribute to Agile Roadmap development with Brand Manager and Subject Matter Expert partners.
- Analyze performance drivers and collaborate with the Brand Manager to manage brand architecture and sublines.
- Make trade-offs within the P&L to achieve financial results.
- Lead demand preparation for your brand, articulating risks and opportunities.
- Evaluate innovative marketing methods, test new strategies, and measure their effectiveness.
- Spend time in the field gathering insights from distributor sales reps and customers to identify trends and optimize the Brand Story and Visual Guidelines.
- Provide a clear perspective on creative platforms and communications strategy.
What We're Looking For
- Master's degree plus 2 years of increasing responsibility; OR Bachelor’s degree plus 4 years of marketing, agency, brand ambassador, tasting room, bartender/mixology, restaurant management, or sales experience with increasing responsibility; OR Bachelor’s plus 3 years of Gallo sales, marketing, engineering or operations experience with increasing responsibility; OR High School diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate plus 8 years of relevant experience with increasing responsibility.
- Travel up to 25% of the time in-market.
- Strong analytical & financial acumen.
- Skilled in project management.
- Ability to effectively partner with cross-functional teams.
- Excellent written & verbal communication skills.
- Travel to company offices, sites, and meeting locations for onboarding, training, meetings, and events up to 5% of the time.
- Must be 18 years or older.
Nice to Have
- Master's degree plus 4 years of brand marketing experience; OR Bachelor’s degree plus 7 years of relevant experience with increasing responsibility; OR Bachelor’s plus 6 years of Gallo sales, marketing, hospitality, engineering or operations experience with increasing responsibility.
- IRI Circana experience.
- Experience managing multiple external agencies.
- CPG, Pharmaceutical, or Alcohol beverage industry experience.
- Experience in a regulated environment.
- Understanding of agile practices.
- Knowledge of on-premise channel.
