Wealthsimple is hiring a Sr Analytics Developer, Fraud to create and maintain the advanced data systems that protect our clients and platform from fraudulent activity. You will play a key role in developing robust analytics solutions that directly support our financial security posture.
What You'll Do
- Design, develop, and implement scalable data pipelines and analytics models for fraud detection
- Collaborate with fraud operations and data science teams to translate requirements into technical solutions
- Analyze complex data sets to identify patterns and anomalies indicative of fraud
- Build and maintain reporting dashboards and data tools to empower fraud investigation teams
- Ensure data quality, integrity, and performance of fraud-related analytics systems
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of experience in analytics engineering, data engineering, or a similar role
- Proven experience building data models and pipelines for risk, fraud, or security domains
- Strong proficiency with SQL and experience working with large-scale data warehouses
- Ability to communicate complex data concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Experience with data visualization tools and dashboard development
Nice to Have
- Experience in the fintech, payments, or financial services industry
- Familiarity with machine learning concepts and their application in fraud detection
- Knowledge of data governance and security best practices
