About the Role

The Senior Aircraft Systems Engineer, Landing Gear will be responsible for the design, development, and integration of landing gear systems for aircraft. This role involves working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the landing gear systems meet performance, safety, and regulatory requirements. The engineer will also be involved in troubleshooting and resolving issues related to landing gear systems, as well as providing technical support to other departments.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and development of landing gear systems.
  • Ensure compliance with performance, safety, and regulatory standards.
  • Integrate landing gear systems with other aircraft systems.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to landing gear systems.
  • Provide technical support to other departments.
  • Conduct design reviews and analyses.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation.
  • Collaborate with suppliers and vendors.
  • Participate in testing and certification processes.
  • Stay updated with industry trends and technological advancements.
  • Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance.
  • Conduct failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA).
  • Perform risk assessments and mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure adherence to project timelines and budgets.
  • Coordinate with manufacturing teams for production readiness.
  • Support certification and regulatory compliance efforts.
  • Develop and implement quality assurance processes.
  • Conduct root cause analysis for system failures.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental and sustainability standards.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Provide input on design for manufacturability and assembly.
  • Support the development of new technologies and innovations.
  • Conduct design verification and validation testing.
